* FREE tune-up at CyberSmart!
If you own a CyberSmart! computer, you are entitled to a FREE tune-up for your system after the first 90 days, and thereafter every 6 months, for as long as you own the computer! Just bring it in to the store, and we'll do the rest!
Other local dealers charge up to $80 for this service that you get FREE at CyberSmart! And the "Big Box" stores are off the scale with their charges!
We take this time to ensure your computer is running at its highest efficiency.
1) We check all hardware, and update your operating system and hardware driver files as needed.
2) We clean out useless temp files.
3) We double-check your anti-virus to ensure nothing got through. If you purchased Norton Internet Security from us, your 1-year warranty means if we find anything, we disinfect your system AT NO CHARGE!
The only exceptions to this warranty are visiting adult websites, illegally downloading music and video files, and putting free software - typically toolbars or cursors - without checking with us first to ensure they will not harm your computer.
4) We give yor computer a physical cleaning - meaning we blow out all the dust, ensure the fans turn freely, and make sure th power supply and CPU are getting adequate ventilation.
Here's a CyberSmart! Quick-Tip: If you've got a Sam's Club card, or know someone who does, get a battery backup for your computer. It eliminates voltage variences that would not trip a surge protector (especially low-voltage conditions). This is add up to years to the life of your CyberSmart! Computer.
* $100 OFF our $898 system!
Want to cut $100 off the price of a new CyberSmart! Computer? Here's what you get for only $798 IF you mention you saw this offer in our newsletter when you visit our store on or before October 31st, 2008:
1) AMD 5000+ dual-core CPU
2) 1 GB RAM - your choice of single or dual channel
3) 160 GB Hard Disk Drive with SMART protection to warn you in advance of a drive failure.
4) DVD Multi-format Burner for DVDs and CDs.
5) 17" LCD monitor
6) Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers.
7) XP Home operating system.
8) 3-year Warranty!
About the warranty: If your monitor or computer needs service under warranty, then we will provide you a loaner to use until the repair is completed. NOBODY ELSE offers both a 3-year warranty at no extra charge, and a loaner if you need one.
And don't forget your computer will have Windows XP - and not Vista! (See our next item!)
Ask anyone - Dell, Best Buy, HP, any local dealer, to match our price that includes a NO EXTRA CHARGE 3-year warranty, computer or monitor loaner under warranty repairs, and XP instead of Vista.
They won't. (Dell offers an XP disk you have to install yourself - and their computer - all for "just" $2,500. Such a deal . . . dude.)
* Deadline for an XP computer is January 31, 2009!
All new computers manufactured after January 31, 2009 must use Microsoft's Vista operating software. What this means to you is that if you do not buy a computer by 1/31/2009, you will have to "retro-fit" your computer to roll it back from Vista to XP. Generally speaking, we know that in doing this on a laptop (the deadline for that, and for the major manufacturers such as Dell and HP, was 6/30/2008) clients will spend $300 - $500.
If you are going to get a new computer, do it now while it can still be legally installed with Windows XP. After January 31, 2009, you will have to pay extra to remove Vista and replace it with XP.
* What's wrong with Windows Vista? See for yourself!
We got a call on the CyberSmart Saturday! program asking why we don't recommend Vista. Visit this Google link and find out for yourself!
